What is the purpose of Cocoa with A Cop?

Cocoa with Cop is a community outreach program that helps children grades 4-8 gain relationships with and feel more comfortable around local police officers. We do this through an hour-long seminar where students have an oppurtunity to drink Hot Chocolate and ask the officers any questions they have or voice their concerns. If a student wants to ask a private question, there will be a session towards the end of the seminar where they can do so. At the very end of the event, the officers will provide the students with their own personal in-department phone number.
